OUR  STORY

Where tradition finds
a place in the present.

Floana began with a simple idea: to create clothing that women could find themselves returning to, across occasions, seasons and changing wardrobes.

What started with a love for beautiful fabrics and thoughtful details has grown into a wardrobe that moves between Indian wear, contemporary silhouettes and pieces made especially for the person wearing them.

At its heart, Floana is about the pleasure of dressing well without making it complicated. Clothes with character, colour and a sense of ease, designed to be worn, loved and made your own.

THE FLOANA APPROACH

Rooted in craft.
Made for now.

01 / TRADITION, WITHOUT THE WEIGHT

We return to familiar textiles, techniques and details, finding ways for them to live naturally in a contemporary wardrobe.

02 / COLOUR, ALWAYS

From quiet neutrals to unapologetic brights, colour is part of the way we tell our stories.

03 / MADE TO BE WORN

Beautiful clothes should still feel like your clothes. Ease, versatility and individuality sit at the heart of all our pieces.

FOUNDER NOTE

A wardrobe built from instinct.

For over 25 years, Meetu Kohli’s relationship with clothing has been shaped by an instinct for colour, textiles, and the possibilities of Indian craft. From Patiala Phulkaris and Banarasi silks to Mukaish, mirror work and Kutch embroidery, her work has always been led by a curiosity for how traditional techniques can find new expression in the way women dress.

Floana grew naturally from this journey, expanding her world beyond Indian wear into contemporary and Western silhouettes, from dresses and shirts to kaftans, sarong pants and resort wear. Its name draws from the idea of flow, something Meetu sees not only in fabric and silhouette, but in the way a wardrobe moves between seasons, occasions and different parts of a woman’s life.

Her approach is intuitive rather than prescriptive: bringing together craft, colour and contemporary design to create pieces with their own character, whether rooted in Indian tradition or made for a more relaxed, resort-led wardrobe, while always leaving room for the woman wearing them.
